Who’s eligible to apply for technical certification?
If you have completed post-secondary technology or applied science education or have work experience in a technology occupation or the Canadian armed forces you are eligible to apply for certification as a technician, a technologist or a technical specialist.
There are 4 pathways:
Graduates of a post-secondary technology or applied science program in Canada.
Graduates of a post-secondary technology or applied science or engineering program outside of Canada.
Canadian Armed Forces members, reservists or veterans.
Experienced practitioners that have other forms of learning plus work experience in a technology or applied science occupation.
